girl in the game
Girl in the game will be a weekly post about someone who I find particularly intriguing & who is following their dream in some way. I hope you will be inspired by the beautiful & brilliant women featured here....
My first girl in the game post is about my great grand-mother, Mabel. Although she is no longer alive, her story & the pictures she left behind were absolutely moving!
I recently discovered that my great-grandmother was a very cool woman. She skillfully played the accordion, piano & best of all rode a Harley Motorcycle back in 1922 (carting my poppy in the sidecar, as you can see by the picture!) She was an independent woman, a young - single mother for some time & made a living by working at an accounting firm in NYC. She was a spunky spirit, always on the go & was an uncommon beauty. A true inspiration!

miniature rhino
I gave this absolutely lovely custom heart embroidery by Miniature Rhino to friends as part of their wedding gift, I hope they love it as much as I do. Each one is custom made with your initials of choice embroidered on linen, is about 3 3/8 inches diameter & comes packaged in a sweet little muslin pouch. I plan to purchase another with the baby's name once she is here!
